What financial assistance is available for solar energy?
Whether you are a private individual, farmer, industrialist, or local authority, there are several subsidies available to reduce the cost of your photovoltaic installation.
- Photovoltaic self-consumption bonus : Paid by EDF OA, this bonus applies to self-consumption installations that sell surplus electricity.
- VAT reduced to 10% Applicable to small installations (≤ 3kWp), it reduces the total cost of your project.
- Local subsidies : Some regions, departments, or municipalities offer additional subsidies to encourage the use of photovoltaic energy.
AR SERVICES supports you in researching and applying for all available assistance.
When should you clean your solar panels?
To ensure your photovoltaic system performs at its best, it is essential to clean it regularly (once or twice a year in spring and fall). This precaution is particularly important in urban, agricultural, or coastal areas, where dust and pollution are more prevalent. Doing so can increase your system's efficiency by 10 to 15%.

What is the lifespan of a photovoltaic panel?
The photovoltaic panels installed by AR SERVICES are certified according to European standards and have a lifespan of between 20 and 30 years. Their efficiency decreases very slowly (approximately 0.5% per year), which means that after 25 years, they retain more than 80% of their initial power.
Our teams provide personalized monitoring and regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance throughout the life of your installation. When properly installed and maintained, your panels can even achieve up to 40 years of efficient operation.
Can my building accommodate a photovoltaic installation?
It is generally possible to install photovoltaic panels on your building, whether it is agricultural, industrial, or public. However, several criteria must be checked to ensure the feasibility and compliance of your project.
- Check the orientation and sunlight: south is ideal, but southeast or southwest is also effective.
- Ensure that the roof is in good condition and that the frame can support the panels.
- The lifespan of the roof should be similar to that of the panels (approximately 30-35 years).
- Consult the Local Urban Development Plan (PLU) to find out about local regulations. A preliminary declaration of works is often required, and a permit may be necessary for large installations or protected areas.
- If your building is located near a historic monument, the opinion of the Architecte des Bâtiments de France (French architectural review board) may be required.
- Buildings located less than 3 km from an airport require a glare study and approval from the DGAC (French Civil Aviation Authority).
- Choose the type of installation: integration into the building or superimposition, depending on constraints and budget.
- A preliminary technical study confirms feasibility and expected performance.
